Room GC120 at the VA Medical Center was turned into an art gallery on March 5 where more than 90 original works crafted by talented Veterans were on display.
The Medical Center's Recreation Therapy Service offers a full-range of services to capital area Veterans from horseback riding, to pet therapy, to art therapy. The art on display ranges from oil paintings and sculpture to pottery and models. Several submissions will go forward to compete at the Veterans Affairs National Creative Arts Festival. This annual competition includes 53 categories in the visual arts division and 120 categories in the performing arts categories. The VA National Creative Arts Festival will be held in October in Boston.
