DCVAMC Doctor and NP Honored

Nurse Practitioner Heidi Maloni and Dr. Richard Rosse Recognized for Excellence

Dr. Richard B. Rosse, who serves as the Chief of Psychiatry for the Washington DC VA Medical Center, has been selected as a "Top Doctor" in a list published by US News & World Report magazine. The list was developed in collaboration with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd and is based on peer nominations and professional assessments by a physician-led research team.

Heidi Maloni, PhD, ANP-BC, was recently awarded the 2011 Excellence in Nursing Award by Washingtonian magazine. Dr. Maloni, who serves as the National Clinical Nursing Director for the Multiple Sclerosis Center of Excellence-East at the Medical Center, will be featured in the magazine’s December issue. This is not the first national accolade for Dr. Maloni this year. She was recently recognized with an Award for Excellence by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and was also recognized by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, Eric Shinseki, with the Excellence in Advanced Practice Nursing at both the Medical Center and the VISN levels.
