Feeding the Needy

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Feds Feed Families (FFF) team is excited to announce the "One Can/One Day" event to be held on August 15, 2012, at every VA facility across the country. We are urging VA employees and visitors to bring in just one canned good or unopened toiletry item such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc. in support of the FFF program.

The DCVAMC donation box is located in the Atrium next to the Café. Items collected from now until August 16 will go to area food pantries to help supplement dwindling stocks which are common during the summer months.

The collection box will remain in the atrium throughout the fall season to collect items to stock the DCVAMC food pantry and the Community Resource and Referral Center.
