Life is Sacred, Celebrate Healthy Native Communities
Penny Gamble-Williams, tribal leader and writer presented at the Native American Heritage Celebration

Penny Gamble-Williams, Native American member of the Chappaquiddick Tribe of the Wampanoag Nation of Massachusetts was the keynote presenter at the Medical Center’s recent Native American Indian Heritage Month Program.

The event was hosted by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Native American Committee. This year’s theme is "Life is Sacred, Celebrate Healthy Native Communities” focused on preventative health measures for those of Native American descent.


The Medical Center is committed to fostering a diverse workforce and was  recently recognized as “Best in Class” and ranked highest of all U.S. Hospitals by the Institute for Diversity in Health Management, an affiliate of the American Hospital Association.
