A delegation from the Netherlands, including Minister of Health, Ab Klink, recently visited the Washington DC VA Medical Center to learn more about VA’s electronic health records. Dr. Adam Darkins, VHA Chief Consultant for Care Coordination and Dr. James Bagian, Director, VA National Patient Safety Center, made presentations to the group.

The German State Secretary for Health, The Honorable Klaus Schroeder, visited the Washington DC VA Medical Center. He received an overview of VA healthcare from Dr. Adam Darkins, VHA Chief Consultant for Care Coordination, and a functional demonstration of VA’s electronic health record from Dr. Divya Shroff, Hospitalist.
