On Saturday, January 13, 2007 the Washington DC VA Medical Center held its annual Winterhaven Homeless Stand Down. Many representatives of national VSOs and VACO participated. Nearly 300 homeless veterans from the Washington, DC metro area attended. Paula Gorman, Chief, Voluntary and Recreation Service coordinated the program.
