Patient Service Center

The Washington DC VA Medical Center (DCVAMC) Patient Service Center is "At Your Service"

Veteran patients love the concept of the new Patient Service Center (PSC) at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. The Patient Service Center combines Medical Advice, Call Center and Consult Management services in one entity. The mission of the Patient Service Center is to provide excellent service to veterans by offering sound medical advice, assisting with appointment management, arranging travel for those who qualify and coordinating consults to Specialty Medical services.

The PSC is geared toward improving patients' access to the Medical Center. Trained staff schedule, cancel, confirm, and reschedule appointments for both primary and specialty outpatient care. Registered nurses give timely medical advice to veterans over the phone, and assist with communication with veterans'care providers.

The Patient Service Center operates Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. and is closed on weekends and holidays. Patients should feel free to leave messages after hours with any questions concerning appointments. Medical Advice is offered after hours by the Emergency Room.

If you have any questions, please call the Patient Service Center at 202-745-8577.
