Telehealth
A Veteran utilizing the TeleRetinal scanner at the VA’s Southern Prince George’s County Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). The results will be sent over a secure line to the Ophthalmologist at the Medical Center.
Telehealth is confidential, flexible, simple, convenient. It allows for a real-time interaction between a Veteran at a VA CBOC and a health care provider at the main Medical Center. It's a great way to have an appointment with a specialist without driving into the city!
Each CBOC offers different Telehealth programs based on the needs of Veterans in the community such as:
- TeleMental Health
- TeleRetinal
- TelePain Psychology
- TelePain
