All medical center staff should play a proactive role in preventing the spread of illness by getting an annual flu shot, staying home when sick, and following standard precautions.

Employee Screening Criteria:

(1) Employees who have traveled to/from areas with a high infection rate with COVID-19;

(2) Those who have had known contact with a COVID-19 patient;

(3) Employees who have traveled to/from areas with a high infection rate AND have respiratory symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath).

Any employee who meets the above criteria should stay home from work and contact their supervisor, Occupational Health, 202-745-8254, and their personal health care provider.
