Dr. Robert M. Kaiser, Home-Based Primary Care Program medical director at the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center, was recently elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Home Care Medicine through the 2019 term.

AAHCM is a professional organization serving the needs of thousands of physicians and related professionals and agencies interested in improving care of patients in the home.

“We are delighted that Dr. Kaiser has joined our Board of Directors,” stated AAHCM President, Dr. Mindy Fain, MD. “He has been a longstanding contributor to the Academy in so many ways, and a leading national clinical-educator in home-based primary care. We will all benefit greatly from his exceptional experience and wisdom.”

At the medical center, Dr. Kaiser leads a dynamic multi-disciplinary team which cares for medically-complex Veterans in their homes.  There are currently more than 300 Veterans in DC, Maryland and Virginia who are enrolled in HBPC.
