Nephrology Nurses Week is September 8-14, a week set aside to honor the nurses who care for those with kidney disease. Nephrology Nursing is one of the most diverse nursing specialties practiced today. It requires nurses to be highly-skilled, well-educated and highly motivated to perform their life-saving work. The American Nephrology Nurses’ Association (ANNA) created Nephrology Nurses Week in 2005 to thank the nurses for their commitment and to recruit more nurses into this multi-faceted career.
