Sunday Health Magazine
Join us this Sunday morning on WMAL Radio 105.9 FM and AM 630 at 5 a.m. as we discuss compassion fatigue and the effects it has on our helping professionals, first responders and caregivers.
Our guests this week are: Reverend Carol Ramsey-Lucas, of the medical center’s Chaplain Service and Robert Leigh Pruitt, II, author, motivational speaker and leadership coach.
As we move forward together through the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s important for a us to identify and address the feelings of fatigue, stress, anxiety, fear and other strong emotions associated with burnout. For first responders, health care personnel, grocery and retail store workers who are pushing through on the front lines of this pandemic, coping with such emotions can affect your well-being and the care or services you provide to others as well your home life.
The weekly radio show, "Veterans and Community Health Sunday Magazine", is brought to you by the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center's Office of Public Affairs. It offers Veterans and the community current health and wellness information on a variety of topics presented by subject matter experts from the Medical Center and the community.
