About the Program
The Washington DC VA Medical Center pharmacy processes approximately 2,500 prescriptions daily. We have several ways to get these prescriptions to veterans quickly. After you get your first prescription or renewal from your doctor, you can request future refills by telephone, the internet or by mail. If you request your next refill immediately after receiving your current prescription, you will receive your refill before you run out of medication.
Please note the Outpatient Pharmacy is closed on Sundays and Federal Holidays with the exception of Veterans Day.
