MEDICAL CENTER POLICY MEMORANDUM NO. 00-22 OCTOBER 2013
PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY ON VA GROUNDS
Due to government guidelines and patient privacy laws, no photography or videography will be allow on the property of the Washington DC VA Medical Center without prior consent from the Public Affairs Office. Employees who take photos or video on VA grounds without prior consent are subject to questioning by VA Police, potentially being asked to hand over their film/tape, and may be issued a U.S. Court Violation Notice. Patients and family members taking unauthorized photos or video will be questioned by VA Police as to the nature of their actions, and receive consent from the Public Affairs Office to keep the photos or video.
